This summer, join the fun by celebrating 55 years of community, culture, and good food at the Marché Sutton Market on Saturdays!
The Sutton Market is turning 55—and we’re celebrating in style! The 2025 season officially launched on May 17! It’s shaping up to be our most dynamic year yet, packed with fresh flavors, vibrant music, and groundbreaking community projects.
Music Sessions
Thanks to a generous micro-grant from English Language Arts Network (ELAN), we’re thrilled to unveil Music Sessions at the Sutton Market. It will host more than 15 incredible local artists throughout the season. For the first time, we’ll be able to compensate our performers fairly—a big step forward in supporting our town’s rich artistic talent. Get ready for an unforgettable soundtrack to your Saturday mornings !
Proximity Cards
This year also marks the launch of an exciting and socially impactful new initiative: Proximity Cards. Collaborating with the Legion, the CAB, and the Sutton School, we’ll be offering prepaid cards. These will allow individuals and families experiencing food insecurity to purchase fresh produce—like vegetables, eggs, meat, bread, and honey—directly from local producers. This $10,000 initiative will be provided for by the Sutton Market and the Royal Canadian Legion Sutton Branch. The project was spearheaded by Carrefour Solidaire, which promotes food security while building a local circular economy. Sutton is proud to be the first market and municipality in the region to roll out this vital program!
And More…
Of course, no celebration is complete without a little magic—and we mean that literally! Keep an eye out for a magician in June, and other delightful surprises sprinkled across our 24-week season. To honor the longstanding contributions of our vendors, we’re offering a 50% rebate on the seasonal rate to four exceptional farms who have been with us through the years. Meanwhile, the Market Café will be brewing coffee exclusively from Yamabiko, and a custom-designed photo booth—created by local artists—will be on site so you can snap and share your market memories in style.
As always, we’re excited to welcome back our cherished growers, vendors, and artisans, and to introduce fresh faces, new flavors, and inspired creations from both near and far. Join us in celebrating 55 years of community, culture, and good food—right here at the Sutton Saturday Market!
