Jaime Moar has been a yoga teacher for over 10 years. What began as a journey to share her love of yoga to children and people of all ages with special needs has expanded to Jaime sharing her love of yoga with all.
During the summer, Jaime also runs her family business. Marina Knowlton has been in the family for almost 40 years now so this business is near and dear to her heart. While she spends her days leading a team and serving up burgers and margaritas, she especially enjoys the days where she can begin with yoga on the docks.
The docks at the Marina have become Jaime’s favourite place to teach. She always says, « I could be guiding you to do anything and you would enjoy your experience simply because of the beauty that surrounds you.” She believes there is something truly special about being able to practice in nature as it awakens your senses in a way where you can’t help but be in the present moment.
One morning a week she leads a group of people that have a desire to take care of themselves. Jaime believes that yoga is truly for all. She teaches in a way that makes it accessible to all levels of yogis. There will also be a guided meditation led by Sam Greenwood once a week.
To find out the class schedule for yoga on the docks, follow Yoga For All on Facebook or email jaime.specialyoga@gmail.com. In previous summers, anyone could drop-in to a class. But due to current circumstances there will be a max group size so signing up in advance will be necessary.
Whether you are beginner or experienced, you will without a doubt enjoy your yoga on the docks experience!
