Organ recitals for Afghan refugees

Grace Anglican Church Sutton will present three organ recitals in support of Afghan Refugee Sponsorship. These concerts will take place on July 23rd at 5h30pm, August 20th and September 17th at 4pm. These recitals will demonstrate the amazing abilities of the new Johannus Ecclesia digital organ. It will also give an opportunity to hear performances from outstanding professional organists.

The first two recitals will be given by graduates of the McGill Schulich Organ School. They are Mária Budáčová, originally from Slovakia, and now holding a position in a Roman-Catholic Church Mission in Saint-Irénée-de-Lyon, Montréal. And Rosemarie Tougas, who is currently studying at the Musikhochschule, Lübeck, Germany. The September recital will be given by Pierre Cabana, the organist at St. Paul’s, Knowlton.

The Dutch Johannus Ecclesia digital organs are specifically designed for church use and are equipped with multiple amplifiers, speakers and a woofer, and are maintenance free and guaranteed for 20 years. The organ sounds are created by amazingly accurate reproductions of real organ pipes.
