The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

What happens when you take a family of six misbehaving kids and throw them into the middle of a normally boring Christmas pageant? We call it ‘’The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’’! Written by Barbara Robinson, and produced by the Knowlton Players in collaboration with Concord Theatricals, this hilarious play will be happening at the Theatre Lac-Brome on the weekends of November 24, 25, 26 and December 1, 2, 3. With an impressive cast of children and adults from across the region, you will surely recognize some of the faces on stage as some of these young actors now have several performances under their belts!

A Long Time Coming

We are so happy to finally bring you this fun show after waiting so many years to perform it. Originally scheduled for December 2020, it kept getting bumped back for obvious reasons, and this year we knew the timing was right. 

Challenge Met

One of the biggest challenges for everyone is the comedic timing of this show. The kids have to be extra prepared to come on punctually in order for the jokes to work. It seems they are up to the task, though. The crew started with an incredible workshop with Brenda Carr, who helped get everyone into character and working together and it’s paying off. Every week, the actors laugh out loud during the rehearsals because it just keeps getting funnier and funnier.

Holiday Spirit

The show will be followed by a festive and interactive Christmas sing-along. Many of the performers have great voices and are talented musicians. Qu’obtient-on lorsqu’on prend une famille de six enfants qui se comportent mal et qu’on les jette au milieu d’un spectacle de Noël ennuyeux ? Le meilleur spectacle de Noël de tous les temps! Écrit par Barbara Robinson et produit par les Knowlton Players en collaboration avec Concord Theatricals, cette pièce hilarante sera présentée au Théâtre Lac-Brome les 24, 25 et 26 novembre et les 1^er, 2 et 3 décembre. L’importante distribution met en vedette de nombreux enfants et adultes de la région. Vous reconnaîtrez sûrement plusieurs visages puisque la plupart des comédiens ont déjà plusieurs représentations à leur actif.

Un spectacle longtemps attendu

Nous sommes très heureux de vous présenter ce spectacle amusant après plusieurs années d’attente. Initialement prévu pour décembre 2020, il n’a cessé d’être reporté pour la raison que nous connaissons et, cette année, le moment est enfin arrivé. Nous sommes reconnaissants d’avoir pu le réaliser.

Défi relevé!

L’un des plus grands défis pour tous les comédiens fût de maîtriser le sens du timing comique. Les enfants ont dû bien préparer leurs répliques et les donner au bon moment pour que les blagues fonctionnent. Il semble qu’ils soient à la hauteur de la tâche. Nous avons commencé par un atelier incroyable avec Brenda Carr qui nous a aidé à nous mettre dans la peau de nos personnages et à travailler ensemble. L’exercice semble porter ses fruits. Chaque semaine, nous rions à gorge déployée pendant les répétitions, car le spectacle devient de plus en plus drôle.

Ambiance des Fêtes

Le spectacle sera suivi de chants de Noël festifs et interactifs. La plupart des artistes ont de belles voix et ils ont un don pour le chant.
