Kubota SuttonMax Gagné & Fils, Sutton’s Kubota dealership, has been a well-known and well-revered institution in the small village. Over the years, the establishment has grown and prospered. Its success secrets were passed down to three generations of the same family before the shop was sold in January 2019 to Mathieu O’Rourke who has worked under the Kubota banner for a while now.

Patrick Gagné, who sold the dealership to Mathieu, works every day at the establishment to maintain operations and keep running things smoothly. Meanwhile, Mathieu travels back and forth between Montreal and Sutton. “Patrick and I have always gotten along well,” explains Mathieu, who got to know Patrick while working at a Kubota dealership in Montreal in 2012. “He’s doing an amazing job.”

Mathieu’s business has been lucky, given the current economic consequences incurred by the pandemic. “We’ve been privileged that families come to us because they cannot travel. They therefore concentrate on their lawns and back yards,” he states. “I keep knocking on wood that we keep going. We just have to hang in there. All in all, we’re blessed.”
