One of the Eastern Townships’ most beloved beekeepers is moving. Yes, Simon Riel – the king of raw, unpasteurized local miel – is migrating out of his big red abode situated two minutes up Schweizer. Indeed, as a kid who grew up helping in the beekeeping process (honestly, reflecting back, probably just slowing down Mr. Riel), I must admit that I will sorely miss the rustic production rooms that will most likely forever smell of honey and the hum of bees – undoubtedly one of the buying features for the new homeowners.

So where is one of Sutton’s most beloved beekeepers moving ? Do not fret, as it will only be an additional five minutes down at 691 Route 139 South. There, you will find all your favorite honey products – including candles and candied wax – as well as an expansion of Simon Riel’s projects.
